Ocean City Ghost Walk

Ocean City, Maryland  – Has ghosts?

Join us for a walking tour that follows a trail of haunted properties in the historic district of Old Ocean City, Maryland. Hear about child spirits in the life-saving station, the Crying Indian, the Colored Hotel, the haunted trifecta (murder, suicide, accidental death – all in one place), unrequited love, a candy-loving ghost and more.

This tour is a circular route starting and ending at the Ocean City Inlet at the end of the Boardwalk, and is approximately an hour and a half of scary stories and Ocean City’s mysterious history.

PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT GO INSIDE THE PROPERTIES.  This is a ghost walk where stories of hauntings and unexplained events are shared while standing outside the property. This is not a paranormal investigation and we do not guarantee ghost sitings.  We do, however, offer paranormal investigations in nearby Snow Hill.

SITES ON THE OCEAN CITY GHOST WALK include the Ocean City Lifesaving Museum, Tarry-A-While guest house, the Henry Hotel, Atlantic Hotel, Shoreham Hotel, Trimper Amusements, and Dolle’s Candyland.

  1. We are only on town for a few days . My other daughter has been on the your and loved it. We did not realize that we should have booked prior to coming. Might there be room for 2 more? Thanks

  2. Just got back from our Ocean City ghost walk with Kelly. She did an amazing job even with the 25mph winds and rain. As I was looking trough my pictures of the Atlantic Hotel on the boardwalk, I noticed an odd picture. There is an image of a person standing in the lobby. There in one picture an immediately gone in the next. It was a very fun an interesting evening!

    1. Wow, Tamar. So glad you had fun and were still able to complete the walk. Kelly is a great guide and I’m sure she made it fun for you. 3. I am scheduled for the Ocean City ghost walk Wednesday the 24th- the weather report for the evening says 1-2 inches of rain with heavy wind. Will the tour still go on?

    1. Suzanne, we walk in all kinds of weather unless it is a threat to public safety (in which case we will call the guests and let them know the ghost walk is cancelled but that is unlikely). We walk in the rain and we love the rain! There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing.

      1. Guests showed up and enjoyed the tour, Ronnie. Last night’s tour went on and the guests in attendance even requested the longer version of the tour and completed the full 1.7 miles. They had a lot of fun as noted in Tamar Kiewe’s comment above.

We don’t cancel for rain. There are several reasons we don’t but in short, we have guests who don’t mind the rain and they show up. Every walk has this noted on its page stating that we walk in all kinds of weather except conditions that threaten public safety.

While every guest might have a different preference, our policy is that we don’t cancel for rain. Here’s a post that gives more information on this policy.

  4. My family and I toured the ghost walk on Wednesday 7/9/14 at 8:30pm. Our guide was Kelly and she did a great job. The tour was very educating and left us with much to think about. Fine for all ages! Thank you for such a great time.

    1. Hey there, Matt. Thanks so much for your feedback. I think I remember meeting you and the others in your group at the check-in. So glad you could be a part of our walks and even more glad that you enjoyed it. Thanks too, for the compliments about Kelly. We excited about her joining our team. Hope your vacation is / was wonderful.

    2. Thanks, Matt. Kelly is a bright spark on our tours. Her guests are always entertained and informed. Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for going on the tour. Hope you enjoyed your time in OC.

  5. We may be interested in the Berlin walk on June 19. How much in advance do you need to register and is there a limit on the number of people you take on the walk? We all work in Ocean City and are trying to coordinate days off.

    Thank you.

    1. You can purchase tickets up until the time of the tour, however these tours tend to sell out days before. You have a 48 hour window for cancellation with full refund. You may want to reserve your spot.
