Haunted Repast – Dinner and Stories at the Dunes Manor 2/20
02/20/2015 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
A Haunted Repast
An Elegant Three Course Meal at a Haunted Hotel with Ghost Stories as Entertainment
Who would suspect that tucked in to all the concrete, asphalt and high rises, there were ghosts in Ocean City, Maryland? This Ocean City Virtual Ghost Walk will take you on a journey into Ocean City’s past when the little tourist town began in 1875.
You’ll meet some of the legends – Miss Thelma Conner of the Dunes Manor, Dr. Charles Purnell of the Atlantic Hotel, Rudloph Dolle of Dolle’s Candyland, Joanne Trimper of Trimper’s Rides, Rosalie Shreve of the Plinhimmon Hotel (now Plim Plaza) and young Calvin Cropper who lived at the Tarry-A-While Guest House. You’ll also hear about surfmen and children who haunt the Life-saving station, jazz singers at the Henry Hotel, murderers, sailors, widows and the one lone grave of a sea captain who was drowned near the Inlet in 1795.
Virtual Ghost Walk with Dinner
The Dunes Manor Hotel (lovingly haunted by its founder, Ms Thelma Conner) will host this dinner with story telling. Read the story of Ms. Thelma and her presence at the Dunes.
You’ll experience a virtual Ghost Tour – where Mindie Burgoyne, owner of Chesapeake Ghost Walks will share the tales of Ocean City’s ghosts and haunted places as pictures flash across a screen. And during the virtual ghost tour you’ll be served a delicious three course dinner served in the elegant style the Dunes Manor Hotel is known for.
